Welcome to Pasigo Design Watercolour Studio. In this video, I demonstrate painting a forest path. I begin by applying a loose, variegated wash in the background to establish the scene’s light values. Then, I build up the washes in value and intensity, adding progressively smaller layers. This technique allows lighter values to remain visible throughout the painting’s development and into the final piece. Tree leaf clusters are created using a negative painting technique. Materials Used and Colours - Arches watercolour paper sheet: Cold Press (140 lbs) - Prussian Blue (MG), Pyrrol Red (MG), and Hansa Yellow (MG) If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to see more as I release them.
